Biography
- Andrii Tarasovych Kikhtiak is a vascular surgeon of the highest category, senior resident of the Vascular Surgery Department at the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital, and a consulting physician at the Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care.
- He is an active member of the Association of Vascular Surgeons, Phlebologists and Angiologists of Ukraine, as well as a regular participant and attendee of events organized by the European Society for Vascular Surgery.
- He continuously improves his qualifications through specialized postgraduate training courses in Ukraine and through internships abroad in leading clinics in Austria and Poland. In particular, he completed training and practice at the Vienna General Hospital (Wiener Allgemeine Krankenhaus), at the Gdańsk Private Vascular Surgery Hospital (z o.o. Szpital Gdański, chirurgia naczyniowa), and at the John Paul II Kraków Specialist Hospital in the Department of Clinical Cardiac, Vascular and Transplant Surgery (Krakowski Szpital Specjalistyczny im. Jana Pawla II, oddzial kliniczny chirurgii serca, naczyn i transplantologii). He also attended a lecture course by Prof. François Uhl (France) on “Clinical 3D Anatomy of the Venous System of the Lower Limbs. Diagnostic Capabilities of the 21st Century.”

- 21st Congress of Surgeons of Ukraine (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine)
- Throughout his medical career, he has participated in numerous scientific and practical conferences with international involvement in Ukraine and abroad.
- Andrii Tarasovych Kikhtiak also organized and headed the medical service at the October Palace in Kyiv during the Orange Revolution, for which he was later awarded the commemorative badge “Outstanding Medic, Participant of the Orange Revolution,” as well as a Certificate of Appreciation from the Medical Service of the National Rescue Organization, and an Honorary Certificate from the Lviv Regional Council “For diligent work, personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian State, and on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.”
