- In 1985, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Lviv State Medical Institute. He worked as an emergency care physician and, starting from 1988, as an internist at the Regional Clinical Hospital.
- Since 1994, he has been working as a gastroenterologist in the inpatient department of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital. He holds the highest qualification category in gastroenterology and is the co-author of 4 published works.
