Sedation, or Light Medication-Induced Sleep
Do you break into a cold sweat at the thought of anesthesia?
We want to tell you about a solution offered at the Surgical Clinic “Korona” that allows you to forget all unpleasant sensations associated with diagnostics or treatment – this solution is called sedation.
Sedation is a light medication-induced sleep. It is a state similar to drowsiness, during which a person is relaxed and calm. The key point is that the patient can control themselves and their actions, breathe normally, swallow, and even follow some of the doctor’s instructions. The medication load during sedation is lower than during general anesthesia, and it does not affect recovery or the patient’s ability to return to normal daily activity.
In our clinic, before any diagnostic or treatment procedure under sedation, you will first have a consultation with an anesthesiologist.
We use the best and most advanced medications, which have the advantage of minimal impact on the body and rapid elimination: within 5–10 minutes after the procedure ends, the patient wakes up, and after 2–3 hours they can return to their normal lifestyle without any side effects.
